About the role
We are looking for a Head of Accounting & Control to take full ownership of our financial reporting and control environment across the Nordic region.
This is a key leadership role where you will own the financial truth for four countries – ensuring our numbers are accurate, timely and built on a strong foundation of governance and control.
Reporting to the CFO, and working closely with our EMEA Controllership team, you will lead the end-to-end record-to-report process. You bring structure, clarity and high standards into how we close, report and control our financials – while also developing a high-performing accounting team.
At Culligan Nordic Group we combine global strength with local presence – and this role sits right at the heart of that.

Drive reporting and balance sheet integrity
Own statutory reporting across the Nordic cluster
Lead group reporting under US GAAP in line with global requirements
Ensure strong balance sheet integrity through well-controlled and documented reconciliations
Bridge local GAAP and US GAAP, ensuring differences are understood and managed
Strengthen controls and governance
Own and continuously improve the financial control environment
Ensure compliance with local regulations, group policies and SOX requirements
Identify risks and control gaps, and drive improvements across the function
Lead audits end-to-end
Act as the main point of contact for statutory, group and internal audits
Ensure audits are well-coordinated, structured and delivered on time
Follow through on findings and ensure actions are implemented
Lead and develop the team
Build, lead and develop the accounting and control team across the Nordics
Create a culture of ownership, accountability and collaboration
Strengthen both technical capability and leadership within the team
Partner with the business
Work closely with FP&A, tax, finance operations and EMEA HQ
Support senior stakeholders with insights and sound financial judgement
Balance business support with a strong and independent control mindset
🧩Who you are
You combine strong technical expertise with a natural ability to lead and create structure. You enjoy taking ownership, bringing clarity to complexity, and continuously improving how things are done.
You likely have a solid background within controllership or financial reporting, and you’re ready to step into a role where you can make a real impact – both on the numbers and on the team behind them!
Your background
You bring a strong foundation in finance and accounting, together with experience from leading roles. To succeed in this role we believe that you:
Are a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPA or Nordic equivalent), or have built equivalent expertise through experience
Have several years of experience within accounting, controllership or financial reporting
Have experience leading and developing teams
Are comfortable working in a multi-entity, multi-country environment
Have strong communicational skills in English as well as one Nordic language (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or Finnish)
Your expertise
You feel confident owning the full picture – from close to reporting to control. We are looking for:
Solid knowledge of both local GAAP and US GAAP, with the ability to bridge the two
Proven ownership of financial close, reporting and balance sheet integrity
Strong understanding of financial controls, risk and SOX – and the importance of getting them right
Experience from working with ERP systems and reporting tools (experience with MS Dynamics is a plus)
It’s a plus if you also bring
Experience from a US-owned, private equity-backed or multinational company
A background in audit, for example from a Big 4 environment
Experience working across the Nordics or in other multi-country setups
Who you are as a person
Experience and hard skills are pivotal in this role - but we are just as curious about who you are as a person. We know that diversity drives performance, and we welcome all genders, ages, backgrounds, and cultures. To succeed in this position, we think that you are both analytical and influencial - someone who leads with structure and trust. This is the job for you that:
Naturally takes ownership, and set a high standard for quality and delivery
Are analytical and curious – you want to understand what’s behind the numbers
Are structured, calm under pressure and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Build strong relationships across teams, countries and functions
Have high integrity – and are comfortable challenging when needed
And just as important: you bring a positive energy and a human approach to leadership!
